DESCRIPTION:Speaker: Raphael Gottardo from Hospital and University of Laus
anneTitle: Unleashing the Potential of Spatial Transcriptomics: Statistica
l Innovations for Translational Research\nThis seminar will be in English\
nAbstract: Recent advances in single-cell and spatial technologies are rev
olutionizing our understanding of gene and protein functions at the cellul
ar level within tissues. These breakthroughs can lead to new insights from
patient samples\, such as tumor biopsies\, which are critical for selecti
ng personalized cancer treatments and understanding treatment responses. H
owever\, these complex data present significant statistical challenges tha
t must be addressed to fully harness their potential. In this talk\, I wil
l discuss our efforts in developing novel statistical methods to streamlin
e data analysis and generate new translational insights. Additionally\, I
will highlight our involvement in large-scale data generation initiatives\
, including the MOSAIC project\, which aim to create extensive resources w
ith thousands of samples available for analysis.\n \nCalendar subscriptio
