DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Tokuhiro Eto (ICJ - Lyon 1)\n\nWe present a unified
 structure-preserving finite element framework for multi-phase Mullins–Se
kerka type problems with triple junctions. Starting from the isotropic for
mulation\, which ensures exact volume conservation and unconditional energ
y stability\, we progressively extend the model to incorporate anisotropic
surface energies\, variable mobility\, and kinetic undercooling. The prop
osed discretization preserves the energy-dissipating structure of the cont
inuous problem\, providing a robust and physically consistent numerical sc
heme. Through numerical experiments\, we demonstrate complex interfacial d
ynamics of evolving networks and illustrate how anisotropy and kinetic eff
ects influence the morphology and stability of the system. This talk is b
ased on joint works with Harald Garcke (Universität Regensburg\, Germany)
and Robert Nürnberg (Università di Trento\, Italy).\n\nhttps://indico.m
