Tropical polygons: wave fronts, caustics and symplectic geometry applications

 We overview intrinsic geometry of the tropical plane focusing on convex polygons and their tropical angles. On one hand, tropical polygons are elementary, but interesting geometric objects in their own right. On the other hand, they are useful in certain symplectic geometry problems. Some of these applications will be reviewed in the talk.
