DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Louis Dailly (IMT)\n\nDuring the 19th century\, the
study of holomorphic functions led the mathematicians to the notion of Rie
mann surfaces\, that are spaces on which we can define holomorphic functio
ns. A natural question is classification : how can we distinguish two diff
erent Riemann surfaces and how many different ones are there ? The aim of
this talk is to give some insights for classification of compact Riemann s
urfaces\, especially the ones that have genus 1 (i.e the ones that topolog
 ically "look like donuts").\n\nhttps://indico.math.cnrs.fr/event/14148/
