DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Rajeev Singh (Université de l'Ouest de Timișoara\,
Roumanie)\n\nSince the first positive measurement of the Lambda-hyperon g
lobal spin polarization in heavy-ion collisions by STAR in 2017 [Nature 54
8 (2017) 62-65]\, the understanding of the nature of this phenomenon is on
e of the most intriguing challenges for the community. As relativistic flu
id dynamics celebrates multiple successes in describing collective dynamic
 s of the QCD matter in such reactions [Ann.Rev.Nucl.Part.Sci. 63 (2013) 12
3-151]\, the natural question arises whether the spin dynamics can also be
modeled in such a framework. In this talk\, the motivation for and recent
outcomes of the experimental hunt for the macroscopic footprints of quant
um spin in the relativistic heavy-ion collisions will be presented and the
theoretical challenges connected with formulating its collective descript
 ion will be discussed.\nReferences: Int.J.Mod.Phys.A 38 (2023) 20\, 23300
