  but infinite genus and a wild singularity and its Veech group $\\Gamma(X)
 $ is almost the free group in two generators. The Veech group of any cover
  of $X$ is contained in $\\Gamma(X)$. We classify the finite abelian cover
 s whose Veech group is of finite index in $\\Gamma(X)$. This is joint work
