Controllability results for KdV-type equations

The aim of this talk is to describe the link between controllability results for KdV-type equations and the existence of a non-trivial solution for an overdetermined system. We describe this strategy for coupled KdV equations and Kawahara equation. This is ongoing work with R. Capistrano-Filho.
