Analysis of certain integrable models via random matrix theory

I will present the results of my PhD, which I defended a few weeks ago. This thesis aims at establishing on firm mathematical grounds some aspects of the links between random matrices and integrable systems, whose statistical properties, as Herbert Spohn recently noticed, can be related to matrix ensembles for which we can access the law of the spectrum: the β-ensembles in the high temperature regime.
